On March 16, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan received the delegation headed by CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov, who arrived in Armenia on a working visit.
The sides exchanged views on a number of international and regional security issues, including the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border zone and the military-political situation around Armenia.
Particularly, touching upon the border zone situation, Suren Papikyan presented the long-term problems regarding the implementation of CSTO collective defence mechanisms and the expectations of the RA Ministry of Defence.
