The Military Police of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia permanently urges servicemen not to use prohibited items, notably, smartphones.
Despite these warnings, military police officers continue to detect smartphones and other prohibited items during their daily inspections in military units.
In order to strengthen the discipline and ensure security in the Armed Forces, we once again call on parents and friends of servicemen not to give smartphones and prohibited items to soldiers.
The Ministry of Defence notifies that the smartphones of the servicemen will be returned them only after the end of the military service.
As a result of the RA MoD military police officers' large-scale activities, a number of compulsory military servicemen and contract servicemen of the RA Armed Forces were revealed and taken to Military Police divisions, violating the N Order N of RA Minister of Defence and used smart phones, uploaded photos from the daily life of military service to the Internet. The servicemen were subjected to disciplinary responsibility.
The Ministry of Defence of the RA will assume necessary steps to exclude similar cases and the undisciplined servicemen will be punished.
