Admiral Isakov's personal belongings were handed over to the "Mother Armenia" Museum in the RA Embassy in Russia

On July 27, in the hall of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Russian Federation, a solemn ceremony was held for the handover of personal belongings of the legendary Admiral of the Soviet Fleet, Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Isakov (Hovhannes Ter-Isaakian) from the personal collection of Dmitry Khmelev to the Mother Armenia Museum of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia. The event was attended by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Moscow Victory Museums and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, representatives of the Officer's House after K. E. Voroshilov of the Samara Garrison, diplomats, embassy personnel.

In his welcoming speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Russian Federation Vagharshak Harutyunyan expressed gratitude to Dmitry Khmelev, emphasizing the importance of preserving the memory of outstanding personalities and heroes of the peoples of Armenia and Russia. The head of the diplomatic representation referred to Admiral Isakov's activities both during the Great Patriotic War and in the post-war period.

The event was also attended by the military attache of the RA Embassy, Major General Armen Lalayan, Dmitry Khmelev, Soviet and Russian military figure, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vice Admiral Ashot Sarkisov and a representative of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, First Class Captain Valery Lapin.

Among the items handed over are photographs, congratulatory telegrams of three-time Hero of the Soviet Union Semyon Budennov, twice Hero of the Soviet Union Hovhannes Baghramyan and others. In the recent times, these items were kept in the Samara Garrison Museum.
