Admiral Isakov's personal belongings were handed over to the "Mother Armenia" Museum in the RA Embassy in Russia
28 July, 2022 11:25In his welcoming speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Russian Federation Vagharshak Harutyunyan expressed gratitude to Dmitry Khmelev, emphasizing the importance of preserving the memory of outstanding personalities and heroes of the peoples of Armenia and Russia. The head of the diplomatic representation referred to Admiral Isakov's activities both during the Great Patriotic War and in the post-war period.
The event was also attended by the military attache of the RA Embassy, Major General Armen Lalayan, Dmitry Khmelev, Soviet and Russian military figure, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vice Admiral Ashot Sarkisov and a representative of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, First Class Captain Valery Lapin.
Among the items handed over are photographs, congratulatory telegrams of three-time Hero of the Soviet Union Semyon Budennov, twice Hero of the Soviet Union Hovhannes Baghramyan and others. In the recent times, these items were kept in the Samara Garrison Museum.
