On the grounds of the proposal of the Prime Minister, according to Article 155, Part 3 of the Constitution, as well as Article 35.1, Part 1 of the Law "On Military Service and the Status of a Serviceman" and Article 36, Part 1, paragraph 1, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturian, Major General Edward Asryan was appointed Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.
