On May 31, at 5:25 pm, the Yerevan Department of the Military Police of the Ministry of Defence received a phone call from the "Yerablur" military pantheon-memorial of the Ministry of Defence that in the territory of the pantheon an unknown person had stolen the wallet belonging to M. Khachatryan, the sister of Major Georgy Lyova Minasyan, a serviceman killed in the 44-day Artsakh war. In the wallet of M. Khachatryan who had visited the grave of the killed serviceman, there was money, bank cards and so on.

The operational units of the Military Police immediately began to search for the criminal. The next day, on June 1, as a result of large-scale operative-intelligence measures taken during the operative data received in the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan Police Department, V. A., a resident of Yerevan, was taken to the Yerevan Police Department from Andranik Street on suspicion of theft. He gave a confession by comparing factual data.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Yerevan Department of the Military Police of the Ministry of Defence on the grounds of Article 177, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.
