Welcoming the guests, the RA Minister of Defence thanked the EU leadership and Ambassador Klaar personally for the constant efforts to repatriate Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijan, presented the situation in Artsakh and on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

In his turn, Toivo Klaar noted that the EU is ready to assist in the final settlement of the conflict and stabilization of the situation, to promote the intensification of negotiations in various formats. It was noted that the EU will continue to work in the humanitarian sphere, in particular, in the direction of the return of prisoners of war, other detainees and missing persons.

During the meeting, the parties also touched upon other issues of regional security.
