On January 11, as a result of a provocation carried out by Azerbaijani subdivisions in the eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border servicemen of military unit N of the Ministry of Defence private Arthur Artyom Mkhitaryan (born in 2002) and junior sergeant Rudik Rafik Gharibyan (born in 2002) were killed.
The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia shares the grief of the loss and expresses support to the family members, relatives and colleagues of the killed servicemen.
Two more servicemen are wounded, their lives are not in danger.
As of 21:00, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable.
