Based on the decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council to send the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces for a limited period to the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with Article 4 of the Collective Security Treaty, in accordance with the provisions of the peacekeeping treaty of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the RA Armed Forces sent a peacekeeping subdivision to the Republic of Kazakhstan (100 servicemen) as part of the CSTO peacekeeping forces.
During the mission, the peacekeeping subdivision of the RA Armed Forces will carry out functions of exclusively protection of buildings and infrastructures of strategic importance.
