The Minister of Defense of Georgia is in Armenia on an official visit

On February 27, the delegation headed by Minister of Defense of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili arrived in Armenia on a two-day official visit.

After the official welcoming ceremony of the Minister of Defense of Georgia, the Ministers of Defense of Armenia and Georgia held a private meeting in the Administrative Complex of the RA Ministry of Defense, which was followed by an extended meeting of the delegations of the two countries.

Issues related to the international and regional security and stability, defense cooperation between the two countries were discussed. The sides also discussed the Armenian-Georgian cooperation in a multilateral format.

David Tonoyan and Irakli Garibashvili signed a program of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense for 2020 between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.

The Ministers of Defense of the two countries made a joint statement on the results of the meeting.

Within the framework of the visit, the delegation headed by Minister of Defense of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili will also visit the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex to pay tribute to the memory of the canonized martyrs of the Armenian Genocide.
