Battalion tactical exercises under way at Baghramyan Training Ground

Joint Armenian-Russian battalion tactical exercises kicked off at the Baghramyan Training Ground on 1 April under the command of Maj-Gen Tigran Parvanyan, the commander of the Armenian-Russian Joint Forces.

The goal of the exercises is to coordinate the actions of different types of troops, test the personnel’s combat readiness while conducting combat missions.

As part of the tactical exercise, on 3 April, a solemn ceremony was conducted at the Baghramyan Training Ground. Welcoming the participants of the exercise, Maj-Gen Parvanyan asked them about their combat readiness and enthusiasm, as well as the state of the equipment involved.

He expressed confidence that the results of this joint exercise will be satisfying, and all the tasks will be effectively performed. The peculiarity of the exercise is that there is no advance scenario, and the soldiers will be given tasks as the exercises evolve. Defence, attack and counterattack actions will be used. The exercises will continue until 12 April.
