An operation conducted by the Armenian Defence Ministry’s Military Police has uncovered that between 2015 and 2017, Maj. L. A., the deputy commander of the Central Medication Facility, and other officials, abusing their official positions for personal gain, embezzled AMD 40,000,000-worth of various medicines and equipment through faking invoices, thus causing grave material consequences.

On 2 February 2018, a criminal case was launched under Article 375, Part 3 and Article 314, Part 1 of the Armenian Criminal Code.

L. A. has been arrested. The investigators are conducting all necessary investigative and other actions to determine all the circumstances of the case and the scope of persons involved, as well as to give a legal assessment to their acts.
