The Order of "Motherland"

The highest title of National Hero of Armenia is awarded for exceptional services of nationwide importance rendered to the Republic of Armenia in the spheres of the defense of the state and strengthening of law and order, as well as for the creation of significant national values.

The Order of "Motherland" is awarded to persons bearing the highest title of National Hero of Armenia.

ՀՀ Զինված ուժերի «Զինանշան» հուշամեդալը տրվում է ՀՀ կառավարության անդամներին, ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարի տեղակալներին, պաշտպանության բանակի և բանակային կորպուսների հրամանատարներին, ՀՀ գլխավոր ռազմական տեսուչին, արտասահմանյան բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնատար անձանց և բանակին մեծ նյութական օժանդակություն ցուցաբերած անհատներին:

The Order of "Honor"

The Order of Honor is awarded for notable services in protecting state and national interests of the Republic of Armenia and establishment of independence and democracy, as well as for significant contribution to the building, strengthening and promoting friendship and reinforcing peace between peoples.

The Order of "St. Mesrop Mashtots"

The Order of "St. Mesrop Mashtots" is awarded for outstanding achievements in the spheres of science, invention, education, health, culture and social activities in the Republic of Armenia, as well as for activities aimed at promoting scientific-technical, economic and cultural cooperation with foreign states.

The Order "Tigran the Great"

The Order "Tigran the Great" is awarded for exceptional services rendered to the Republic of Armenia.

The Order "St. Vardan Mamikonian"

The Order "St. Vardan Mamikonian" is awarded for exceptional courage demonstrated while fulfilling the military duty to the motherland, as well as for outstanding services in army building and ensuring military combat training.

The first-class Order of "The Combat Cross"

The Order of "The Combat Cross" is awarded for exceptional courage, self-sacrifice and skills demonstrated while defending and ensuring the security of the motherland.
The Order of "The Combat Cross" is divided into two classes:
• the first-class Order of "The Combat Cross"
• the second-class Order of "The Combat Cross"
The highest degree of the Order of "The Combat Cross" is the first class.

The first-class Order of "The Combat Cross" is awarded to:
1. Servicemen of the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia and other troops for their exceptional courage and personal valor, as well as to others, and military units of the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia and allied or partner states and other troops for their significant contribution to defense activities;
2. Servicemen of the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia and other troops, as well as to military units of the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia and allied or partner states and other troops for their significant achievements in military operations.

The second-class Order of "The Combat Cross" is awarded to:
1. Servicemen of the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia and other troops, as well as to others, and military units of the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia and allied or partner states and other troops for their skillful accomplishment of military tasks;
2. Employees of authorized state bodies of the Republic of Armenia in the areas of emergency situations, police, national security and of Criminal Executive Service and Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, as well as to others, and military units of the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia and allied or partner states and other troops for their bravery.

The second-class Order of "The Combat Cross"

The Order "Holy Nerses Shnorhali"

«Սուրբ Ներսես Շնորհալի» պատվո բարձր շքանշանը հաստատվել է 1978 թվականին՝ Վազգեն Ա Պալճյան Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսի օրհնությամբ։ Շնորհվում է Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսի սրբատառ կոնդակով՝ հանուն Հայաստանյայց առաքելական Սուրբ եկեղեցու և Մայր աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի՝ գնահատումն բազմամյա բեղմնավոր աշխատանքի, որ կատարվում է Մայր աթոռ Սուրբ էջմիածնի, նվիրապետական աթոռների, ՀՀ-ում և Սփյուռքում գործող Հայաստանյայց եկեղեցիների և եկեղեցական կազմակերպությունների պայծառացման համար։

"The Battle Cross" Order of 1st degree

"The Battle Cross" Order of 1st and 2nd degrees is awarded to officers and soldiers of the NKR Defence Army for exclusive courage and valor shown during the defence of the Motherland.

"The Battle Cross" Order of 2nd degree

"The Battle Cross" Order of 1st and 2nd degrees is awarded to officers and soldiers of the NKR Defence Army for exclusive courage and valor shown during the defence of the Motherland.

The Order "Golden Eagle"

The Order "Golden Eagle" is awarded to individuals awarded with the highest title of the "Hero of Artsakh".

The Order of "Тhe Red Star" USSR

The Order of the Red Star was established for rewarding for great services in the defence of the USSR in ensuring state security both in military and peacetime.

Order for "Services to the Motherland"

The order for “Services to the fatherland” is awarded for state, social and political activity and significant achievements in the spheres of economy, the defense of the motherland, national security, as well as in humanitarian sphere and for other outstanding services.

The order for “Services to the Motherland” has two degrees:

The first-degree Order for “Services to the Motherland;”
The second-degree Order for “Services to the Motherland.”
The highest degree of the Order for “Services to the Motherland” is the first degree.

The first-degree Order for “Services to the Motherland” is awarded to servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and other armies, servants of public and local self-government bodies and their officials, as well as to citizens of the Republic of Armenia and Armenian nationals who are not citizens of the Republic of Armenia.

The second-degree Order for “Services to the Motherland” is awarded to servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and other armies, servants of public and local self-government bodies and their officials, as well as to citizens of the Republic of Armenia and Armenian nationals who are not citizens of the Republic of Armenia for other significant services to the motherland.

The Order for “Services to the Motherland” is to be worn on the right breast after the Orders “Tigran the Great” and “Vardan Mamikonian.”

Medals

The Medal "For Courage"

The Medal "For Courage" is awarded for personal bravery demonstrated in the spheres of the defense of the motherland, protection of public order, national security service, criminal executive, judicial acts compulsory enforcement and rescue services, as well as for fulfilling official or civic duty under conditions dangerous for life.

The Medal of "Mkhitar Gosh"

The Medal of Mkhitar Gosh is awarded for outstanding state and social-political activities, as well as for significant services in the spheres of diplomacy, law and political science.

The Medal "For Combat Service"

The Medal "For Military Service" is awarded for skillful, proactive, brave actions aimed at fulfilling military tasks and ensuring military combat training, as well as for services rendered while defending state borders.

The Medal “For Collaboration for Salvation”

The Medal “For Collaboration for Salvation” is awarded to citizens of the Republic of Armenia and foreign citizens, individuals who do not have citizenship, for emergency prevention, reduction and elimination of potential consequences, as well as for courage, bravery demonstrated during rescue operations, when carrying out official and civic duty in conditions dangerous for life.

The Medal for “Combat Watch” of RA AF of 1st degree

The Medal for “Combat Watch” of the ARM Armed Forces is a two-degree medal and according to regulations it is awarded to those contract servicemen who have had individual contribution in ensuring the ARM and NKR territorial totality and the protection of the state borders (contact line).
The 1st and 2nd degree Medals for “Combat Watch” of the ARM Armed Forces are awarded to those contract servicemen of ARM AF detachments and units who have been on combat watch for 3 (the 1st degree Medals for “Combat Watch”) and 6 (the 2nd degree Medals for “Combat Watch”) years accordingly.
The 1st and 2nd degree Medals for “Combat Watch” of the ARM Armed Forces are awarded by the order of the ARM Minister of Defence.
Individuals are introduced for being awarded the 1st and 2nd degree Medals for “Combat Watch” of the ARM Armed Forces by the Chief of the ARM AF General Staff, deputy Ministers of Defence, deputy chiefs of the ARM AF GS, chiefs of ARM MoD, AF and AF GS departments and separate branches.
Those awarded with the ARM AF 1st and 2nd degree Medals for “Combat Watch” are given a certificate to bear it.
In case of a posthumous awarding, the ARM AF 1st and 2nd degree Medals for “Combat Watch”, together with the certificates, are given to the family members of the awardee.

The Medal of “Gevorg Vardanyan” of RA AF

The Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan” of RA AF

The ARM AF Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan” is awarded to those who have taken part in combat activities during the Great Patriotic War, to Labor veterans, who have actively participated in the military-patriotic education of the youth, generals, officers, sergeants and privates of the National Army of the Republic of Armenia who have had direct participation in combat activities during the protection of the ARM border.
The mediation for awarding the ARM AF Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan” is made by the ARM MoD, the council of war and labor veterans and the presidency of “Marshal Baghramyan” fund.
The awarding is done by the order of the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia.
Those awarded with the ARM AF Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan” are given a certificate to bear it.
The ARM AF Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan” is borne at the left side of the chest, after the ARM Medal of "Service in Battle".
Veterans of the Great Patriotic War and other servicemen from the CIS and other countries can be awarded the ARM AF Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan”.

The Medal "For Service in Battle" of NKR

The Medal "For Service in Battle" is awarded to the servicemen of Armed forces, Police and National Security Service, individuals who have contributed to the successful performance of combat missions, raising combat readiness of the forces as well as courage showed defending state borders.

The Medal of “Andranik Ozanyan” of RA AF

The ARM AF Medal of “Andranik Ozanyan” is awarded to ARM AF officers and ensigns who have shown bravery, valor and organizational skills while on their service duties, to servicemen who have shown personal valor in abolishing dangers to the lives of servicemen and in protecting the borders of the Motherland during mandatory service, and to individuals who have had considerable input in the establishment of the Armenian Army.
The mediation for awarding the ARM AF Medal of “Andranik Ozanyan” is made by ARM deputy ministers of defence, chiefs of the MoD and AF GS departments and individual branches, commanders of the Defence Army, army corps and detachments, the head of the ARM National Security Service, Head of the Police, Chief of the Department of Extreme Situations adjunct to the ARM Government, heads of ARM ministries, departments, government and non-government organization. The introductions are made available for the MoD committee for awarding government awards.

The ARM AF Medal of “Drastamat Kanayan” is awarded to officers and ensigns who have significant input in the spheres of army building, development of ARM military-educational system and military-patriotic education of the young generation, to servicemen who have shown personal valor in abolishing dangers to the lives of servicemen and in protecting the borders of the Motherland during mandatory service, and to individuals who have had considerable input in establishing and strengthening the Armenian Army.
The mediation for awarding the ARM AF Medal of “Drastamat Kanayan” is made by ARM deputy ministers of defence, chiefs of the MoD and AF GS departments and individual branches, commanders of the Defence Army, army corps and detachments, the head of the ARM National Security Service, Head of the Police, Chief of the Department of Extreme Situations adjunct to the ARM Government, heads of ARM ministries, departments, government and non-government organizations. The introductions are made available for the MoD committee for awarding government awards.

The Medal “ For Strengthening Cooperation”

The Medal “For Strengthening Cooperation" is awarded for significant contribution in the implementation of the RA Police objectives, for assistance to the activities of the RA Police system, as well as strengthening cooperation among international law enforcement authorities.

The second-class Medal of Services to the Motherland

The Medal of Services to the Motherland is awarded for significant services rendered to the motherland.

The Medal of Services to the Motherland is divided into two classes:
• The first-class Medal of Services to the Motherland
• The second-class Medal of Services to the Motherland
The highest degree of the Medal of Services to the Motherland is the first class.

The first-class Medal of Services to the Motherland is awarded to servicemen of the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia and other troops, employees of other public administration bodies, as well as to citizens of the Republic of Armenia and Armenian nationals who are not citizens of the Republic of Armenia.

The Medal of Mkhitar Heratsi is awarded for services aimed at promotion of the health and medical sectors in the Republic of Armenia and high professional and practical work, as well as for significant charitable activities.

The first-class Medal of Services to the Motherland

The Medal of Services to the Motherland is awarded for significant services rendered to the motherland.

The Medal of Services to the Motherland is divided into two classes:
• The first-class Medal of Services to the Motherland
• The second-class Medal of Services to the Motherland
The highest degree of the Medal of Services to the Motherland is the first class.

The first-class Medal of Services to the Motherland is awarded to servicemen of the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia and other troops, employees of other public administration bodies, as well as to citizens of the Republic of Armenia and Armenian nationals who are not citizens of the Republic of Armenia.

The Medal of “Nelson Stepanyan” of RA AF

The ARM AF Medal of “Nelson Stepanyan” is awarded to ARM AF generals, officers, ensigns and special civil servants, as well as generals, officers and ensigns who have served in USSR and CIS detachments and participants of Great Patriotic War who have showed significant courage, valor and contributed to the strengthening, development and power of ARM AF efficiency, who have showed best results in the spheres of combat preparedness and military-patriotic education.

Individuals are introduced for being awarded the ARM AF Medal of “Nelson Stepanyan” by the Chief of the ARM AF General Staff, deputy Ministers of Defence, deputy chiefs of the ARM AF GS, chiefs of ARM MoD, AF and AF GS departments and separate branches.
Those awarded with the ARM AF Medal of “Nelson Stepanyan” are given a certificate to bear it.
The ARM AF Medal of “Nelson Stepanyan” is borne at the left side of the chest, before the Medal of “Admiral Isakov”.

The Medal of "Movses Khorenatsi"

The Medal of "Movses Khorenatsi" is awarded for outstanding achievements in the spheres of culture, art, literature, education, social sciences, and sports.

The Medal of “Admiral Isakov” of RA AF

The ARM AF Medal of “Admiral Isakov” is awarded to officers and ensigns who have significant input in the spheres of army building, development of ARM military-educational system and military-patriotic education of the young generation, to servicemen who have shown personal valor in abolishing dangers to the lives of servicemen and in protecting the borders of the Motherland during mandatory service, and to individuals who have had considerable input in establishing and strengthening the Armenian Army.
The mediation for awarding the ARM AF Medal of “Admiral Isakov” is made by ARM deputy ministers of defence, chiefs of the MoD and AF GS departments and individual branches, commanders of the Defence Army, army corps and detachments, the head of the ARM National Security Service, Head of the Police, Chief of the Department of Extreme Situations adjunct to the ARM Government, heads of ARM ministries, departments, government and non-government organization. The introductions are made available for the MoD committee for awarding government awards.
The ARM AF Medal of “Admiral Isakov” is awarded by the order of the ARM Minister of Defence.
Those awarded with the ARM AF Medal of “Admiral Isakov” are given a certificate to bear it.

The Medal "For Liberation of Shoushi"

The Medal "For Liberation of Shoushi" is awarded to those servicemen of Armed forces, Police and National Security Service who were direct participants of the liberation of Shoushi and other settlements liberated in the course of that operation, as well as organisers and leaders of the Shoushi operation.

“Argishti I” insignia

“Argishti I” insignia is awarded to the citizens of the RA for assistance in Yerevan development and for outstanding achievements.

Those who have received a “warning”, “strict warning”, “not complete service compliance”, demotion or been penalized cannot be awarded with the ARM AF “For Fair Service” medal, as well as those who have previously been demobilized for “Service incompliance” and then been restored, those who have previously been demoted then restored, those who bear a behavioral penalty, those who were sentenced during service, even if they are not arrested.

The Medal "For Courage" of NKR

The Medal "For Courage" is awarded to privates, officers and high command staff of the Defence Army of the NKR for personal bravery and courage shown in the course of the military and combat actions, in the defence of inviolability of state border, in the fight against subversive actions, as well as spies and other enemies of the republic. This medal is also awarded to individuals persons not serving in the Defence Army of the NKR for skilful, initiative, brave actions contributing to the military success on the front as well as in ensuring security of the republic’s population, life and health of the people in conditions dangerous for life.
