The President of the Republic of Armenia participated in the event dedicated to the Army Day in Ararat Region

President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sargsyan, First Deputy Minister of Defense Gabriel Balay, First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Onik Gasparyan and other high-ranking officials participated in the event dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Army in Ararat Region.

The participants laid flowers at the monument to National Hero of the Republic of Armenia, Hero of Artsakh Vazgen Sargsyan and paid tribute to his memory.

Making his speech in the solemn meeting dedicated to the Army Day, the President of Armenia, particularly noted “We should all be proud for having one of the best armies in the world. This is not just an emotional appeal. I really believe it".

Commander of the fifth military formation, Colonel A. Piloyan, presented the newly acquired armaments and military equipment to the President of the Republic and got him acquainted with the living conditions of the servicemen.
