Observations have been carried out in the Tavush region

On April 27th, observations of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border were carried out by the staff of the personal representative of the acting president of the OSCE, from the Kayan residential community of the Tavush region of the Republic of Armenia.

The field assistants of the personal representative of the acting president of the OSCE, Gennadi Patrika and Martin Schuster carried out observations from the Armenian side. No ceasefire violations took place while observations were being carried out.

During the briefing in the administrative center of the Tavush region, the OSCE officials were presented with the current situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and statistics concerning ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani armed forces. The OSCE representatives were made aware of the fact that the Azerbaijani armed forces frequently open fire in the direction of border-adjacent villages and roads.

Thanking the Armenian side, the OSCE officials stated that the information will be included in their report.
