On April 18, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia David Tonoyan had an informal meeting with newly elected President of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense.

David Tonoyan congratulated Arayik Harutyunyan on his election as President of the Republic of Artsakh and wished him success.

The Minister of Defense also noted that the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, together with the Artsakh Defense Army, will continue to ensure and strengthen the security and peaceful development of the Armenian people.

Issues related to the implementation of a number of current and planned programs aimed at cooperation in the field of defense and strengthening of defense capabilities were discussed during the meeting.
