The Minister of Defense of Armenia met with the CSTO Secretary General

On February 27, Minister of Defense of Armenia David Tonoyan met with CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas who was in the Republic of Armenia on a working visit.

The Minister of Defense congratulated Stanislav Zas on his appointment as the CSTO Secretary General.

During the meeting the sides discussed issues related to the international and regional security, as well as further development of the CSTO military component.

Special attention was paid to the development of the CSTO Crisis Response System, the increase of the potential of the CSTO Rapid Response Collective Forces and Peacekeeping Forces, the improvement of the system of the representatives of the armed forces of the organization, the joint combat readiness exercises, as well as issues related to the implementation of joint events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War.
