“Memory Road”: an event dedicated to the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War

On January 25, within the framework of the initiative "Memory Road" conducted on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War a solemn ceremony of taking land for installation from the fraternal grave dedicated to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War in the territory of the Main Temple of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was held.

The event was attended by Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia David Tonoyan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin.

Words of respect were said in memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War. The contribution of the Armenian people to the creation of the great Victory was emphasized. In his speech, Minister of Defense of Armenia David Tonoyan touched upon the large-scale events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War as a symbol of national commemoration, victory of justice and unlimited pride for millions of victims.

During the event, wreaths and flowers were laid at the monument commemorating the victims of the Great Patriotic War. A prayer was offered in memory of the fallen heroes.

This week, within the framework of the initiative "Memory Road" conducted on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War the activities of taking land were also held in Gyumri and Dilijan.
