Ministry of Defense delegation of the Republic of Cyprus is in Yerevan

On February 12-14, delegation led by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Cyprus, Savas Angeliidis, is paying an official visit to Yerevan.

After the official welcoming ceremony held at the RA Ministry of Defense, Savas Angelidis held a tete-a-tete meeting with Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Davit Tonoyan. Negotiations continued with an expanded format by the participation of delegations.

During the meeting, the results of last year's bilateral cooperation in the military and military-technical fields were evaluated as well as the main directions of cooperation in 2019 outlined.

International and regional security issues, as well as opportunities of multilateral cooperation with the participation of Armenia and Cyprus were also discussed.

At the end of the meeting, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Davit Tonoyan and the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Cyprus Savas Angelidis signed bilateral cooperation Program for 2019 in format of two ministries.

Davit Tonoyan and Savas Angelidis also gave joint press conference.

Within the frame of the visit, Savas Angelidis and the delegation visited "Yerablur" Military Pantheon to pay tribute to the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the defense of Motherland.
