Nikolay Baghdasaryan, an adviser to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Aleksandr Avetisyan, the head of the Defense Ministry's Human Rights and Good Conduct Centre, received on August a group of discharged servicemen who demand that their participatin in the April 2016 battles be recorded in their military books.

The participants were briefed on the legal provisions covering the relating to the fights involved in the 2016 operations and the procedures of entering records in the military books confirming the participation in the battles. The servicemen argued that despite the fact of their participation in the combat operations, no records have been entered in their military books.

Baghdasaryan informed them that as instructed by the prime minister, the documents of the military units engaged in the April 2016 operations will be studied, including, in particular, the list of those who have been involved in the operations. This will help to address the issues raised by the soldiers.
