Final round of Pan-Army Spartakiad kicks off

The final stage of the 18th Pan-Army Spartakiad, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia, has kicked off in the Armenian Armed Forces. Maj. Gen. Andranik Makaryan, Head of Armed Forces Combat Training Department and Deputy Chief of General Staff, attended the solemn opening ceremony at one of the military units.

Makaryan congratulated the athletes participating in the Spartakiad for overcoming the electoral stages, wishing success and a decent fight in the final round.

In the final round, the teams and athletes who have won in the initial stages of the Spartakiad, will compete in shooting, military triathlon and quatrain. Cross-race, orientation and other militarized competitions will also be held.

The results of the Spartakiad will be summed up on 9 June.
